7th Grade- Spanish Classroom Phrases

I absolutely wanted to share how I get started with teaching Spanish in my classroom. Below is what I expect my students to use when they need to go and do something or say. I provide a presentation on the phrases below if you want to use this for your students.

How I demonstrate this; I first recite the Spanish saying then the students repeat the phrase. At that point, the picture comes on the screen and the students then have to make an inference of what the illustration is trying to show while connecting to the Spanish phrase. After this, my students need to write the Spanish term & English meaning. They will have a test on this which I will put a link to eventually.

Phrases students need to know.

¿Puedo ir al baño?- May I go to the bathroom?

¿Por favor puedo ir a/ tomar agua?- May I please get a drink of water?

¿Puedo ir la enfermería?- May I go to the nurse?

¿Puedo ir a la oficina?- May I go to the office?

¿Me prestas un lapiz?- May I borrow a pencil?

¿Puedo sacar punta mi lápiz?- Can I sharpen my pencil?

¿Como se dice                          en español?- How do you say                            in Spanish?
